A Bit of a Break

Think I'm going to take a bit of a break from DA for a while.
I'm not so happy with the way my art is coming out at the moment and much prefer my rough sketches - and so I'm going to take some time to work on my style and technique.
That's not to say I won't be checking in every so often but I probably won't be uploading anything for a while.
I think it's about time I actually read some of those books that I've bought on technique and just practice and practice.
Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back and if I owe you art trades or sketches then don't worry - they're definately going to be done.

I understand, I go through periods in which my art isn't to my standard. It's very aggrivating to say the least.

If I can be of any help to you, please let me know. Hopefully you have a few of Dr. Turnbull's books to read within your collection that may help.

Jeff i am sorry you are not happy with the artwork you are producing but its good that you are taking the steps to better and make yourself happy. take all the time you need. you will reach the point where you are happy with your work. i mean its never too late to grow... take care and take it easy. talk to you soon

yeah just soak in as must art knowledge as you can. I am doing that as well. always learning.
Internal trips are always the most helpful. i wish the most creative force flow ever!

Good for you. You shouldn't force yourself to do art if you're unhappy with it. Hope to see you upload something you love in the future.

Thanks - I think I'm just going to sit with my sketch pad and work on shading, anatomy and atmosphere. These are the main points I get from
